Släthult Farm Shop

The farm Norra Släthult is located just outside Smålandsstenar and is run by Kalle and Kristine. On the farm there are about a hundred cows and calves. Kalle and Kristine are passionate about locally produced food and the opportunity to be able to offer meat from their own farm directly to the consumer.

In the fine farm shop "Släthultsboden" you can buy hang-aged meat of high quality and Ida's cheesecake. Ida, who is the creator of the recipe, was born in the 1880s. The recipe has since been passed down in the family for over 100 years. Today it is baked by Ida's great-granddaughter Kristine. The farm shop also sells jams, marmalades, spices, sauces, dressings, bread and handicrafts.

On the farm they also breed Ardennes horses and during the summer you can get a real sweet shock from all the little foals jumping around in the pasture. Kalle and Kristine offer horse and carriage tours for up to 10-12 people. The most common tour is on winding forest roads down to the beautiful Släthults mill, which was built in the 1500s. Here you can enjoy a coffee and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
