Fishing in Fegen

A great variety of fishing thanks to 17 different fish species, from pike-perch to big pike.

Fegensjön, which consists of several narrow bays, shallow coves and deep areas, offers exciting fishing. 

Peak season is spring and autumn, especially for pike, but you can fish here all year round. Trolling and spinner fishing are the most common methods. Angling and fly fishing are great along the beaches. Sandvik has a boat ramp.

Access to certain islands and headlands in Fegensjön is not permitted due to nesting birds, such as ospreys and the black-throated loons. The ban applies from 1 April to 31 July and signs are posted on both the landward side and the water side. You may not approach closer than 100 metres to the shore. The maximum speed for boats during this period is 5 knots.
