Fishing in Nissan
The Nissan river offers exciting fishing for both the experienced fisherman and the enthusiastic amateur
At 186 km in length, Nissan is one of southern Sweden's longest rivers. The Nissan offers exciting fishing for the experienced fly fisherman as well as the enthusiastic amateur, and here you can catch pike, perch, roach, bream, eel and burbot. The Nissan river is for the most part calm-flowing. However, in some places, mainly in the northern parts of the district, there are slightly faster flowing parts where you can still fish for brown trout (Nissaöring). The Nissan offers many great places for bottom angling, float angling, spinning and fly fishing. Some lovely fishing spots can be found along the path that runs past Holmen's outdoor recreation area. Top your fishing trip off with a barbecue in one of Holmen's cosy barbecue huts.
